About the calculation
What this budget includes
Individual budgets use one main member and no employer contribution. Team budgets use one rate for everyone. The twelve-month scenario repeats the same rate throughout, even when a published contribution applies for a shorter period.
How team contributions are calculated
Employer percentage × monthly contribution gives the employer amount per person, rounded to the nearest cent. A half cent rounds up. The employee amount is the remainder. Group totals multiply those amounts by headcount. A fixed employer amount cannot exceed the monthly contribution.
Results exclude dependants, tax effects, additional fees and changes in contribution rates or membership. They show arithmetic, not a quote, payroll instruction or recommendation to buy a product. Confirm the cost components before using a budget for a decision.
