For employers
Benefits your whole team can keep.
Permanent staff often have cover. Seasonal and contract workers often don't. We are building a voluntary group funeral benefit that closes that gap without adding cost or admin to the business.
How it is designed to work
- Workers choose it. Participation is voluntary. Each worker who opts in signs their own mandate.
- Workers pay for it. The premium is employee-paid and collected through payroll deduction. The business pays nothing.
- A licensed insurer carries the cover. The policy will be underwritten by a licensed South African life insurer. The insurer holds beneficiary details and pays claims. Khusela handles the admin.
- The employer's part stays small. One deduction line per participating worker. No health data, no claims handling, no new system.
The group benefit will launch only with a licensed life insurer as underwriter and the required regulatory authorisation in place. Nothing on this page is an offer of insurance, advice, or a quotation.
Why register interest now
We are choosing a small group of Western Cape employers to shape the first scheme. Registering interest is non-binding, creates no obligation, and requires no employee information. It tells us the gap is real and lets us build the scheme around how your payroll actually runs.
Register your interestThe first conversation is free, and a clear "our people are already covered" is just as useful to us.
Already juggling benefit deductions?
If payroll, finance and a provider show different answers, Khusela also offers a separate scoped process review. We map one unresolved handoff, build an issue register and written checks, and produce a decision note for the named owner.
Proposed fee: R15,000, confirmed in a written quote before any paid work begins.
See the process reviewThis is a separate operations service. Buying it does not activate insurance cover or validate a future benefit purchase.
